Safari Outpost Biltong Dip

Perfect for the rugby game, a braai side, appetizer and more!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup tangy sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup creamy mayonnaise
  • 3/4 cup Safari Outpost biltong, finely chopped (extra for garnish)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 tsp peri-peri spice (optional, for a bit of heat)
  • 1 tbsp fresh spring onions or chives, chopped
  • A squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth.
  2. Add the finely chopped biltong, onion, and peri-peri spice (for a touch of heat).
  3. Mix in the spring onions or chives, add a squeeze of lemon, and season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Stir well and refrigerate for 30 minutes for the best flavor.
  5. Garnish with extra biltong and serve with Safari Outpost's favorite South African snacks, like Simba Chipniks
