Pork sosaties, cubed and skewered in house with dried apricots, onion and bell pepper, then marinated in a sweet sauce with a gentle spice sitting behind it.
Pork takes the sweet side of a South African sosatie marinade well and cooks through faster than lamb over the coals.

How are pork sosaties different from lamb sosaties?
Same marinade and the same apricot, onion and pepper on the skewer. Pork is milder and cooks through faster, so it needs less time over the coals than lamb does.
Are your pork sosaties made in store?
Yes. They are cubed, skewered and marinated in house at our Calgary butchery.
Can I cook pork sosaties in the oven?
Yes. Lay them on a rack over a tray and turn them halfway so the marinade does not pool underneath. You lose the smoke of the coals, but the meat cooks evenly and the apricots will not catch.
